The role of musculoskeletal ultrasound by the rheumatologist in clinical diagnosis and monitoring of rheumatic diseases is rapidly evolving. The ACR is updating guidelines for the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. This session will discuss the drafted recommendations with the rationale and background. The speakers will also discuss practical applications of the guidelines in the context of clinical care as it pertains to day-to-day practice.
