Patients with rheumatic conditions experience physical, emotional, and social losses over the course of their disease. Grief is a natural response to their losses and encompasses a wide range of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This session will demonstrate how grief affects patients with rheumatic conditions throughout their lifetime, and will offer recommendations for how to support grieving patients in clinical settings.
