Fatigue, dissatisfaction, and burnout hinder rheumatology providers, which is a matter of heightened concern as the field is striving to maintain a healthy, active workforce. Self-compassion, the act of showing oneself understanding, support, and kindness rather than critical judgment, can remedy the ailments affecting the rheumatology workforce. This session will introduce the psychology of self-compassion, highlighting its benefits among health care providers and tips for practicing it.
