Expedited diagnosis for giant cell arteritis (GCA) can be challenging. Faculty will discuss the importance of a multidisciplinary approach for the diagnosis of GCA and development of fast-track clinics for improved patient access, clinical evaluation with supportive use of advanced imaging, including ultrasound, cross-sectional large vessel-imaging, and temporal artery biopsy. Updates in the 2022 ACR/EULAR Classification Criteria for GCA will be reviewed in addition to real-world experience of fast-track clinics.
