This session will provide an introduction to the topic of longitudinal data analysis. We will discuss the different dataset structures used in the analysis of longitudinal data, the classification and management of missing data, and methods of adjusting for interindividual correlation when developing multivariate regression models using longitudinal data. We will focus on models and data that arise from repeated measurements taken from subjects over time and will be oriented toward handling observational data, in contrast to data arising from experimental situations that are the norm in the biological sciences, though the methods may also appeal to basic science researchers.
