Dr. Marston is an adult and pediatric rheumatologist at the University of Rochester, where she has served as the division chief for pediatric rheumatology since 2020 and program director for the adult rheumatology fellowship since 2015. She is the current chair of the Committee on Training and Workforce Issues for the ACR. She is an avid rheumatology educator, and has developed her skills through the Dean's Teaching Fellowship at the University of Rochester, and through the Clinician Scholar Educator Award from the Rheumatology Research Foundation, leading to creation of educational resources for learners including the "Virtual Rheumatology Clinic" and the "Rheum4Science" project, the latter of which is available through the ACR's learning center. She enjoys teaching and mentoring learners and colleagues at all levels.
Her other interests include the use of technology in teaching and clinical care. She has served as an ultrasound teacher and mentor through the ACR, USSONAR, and other programs, and tries to use her EPIC physician builder and informatics skills for good and not evil.
