Dr. Schechtman, is the founder, CEO, President and medical director of SunValley Arthritis Center, Ltd. located in Peoria, Arizona.
Her fellowship in rheumatology and immunology was at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Schechtman sits on advisory boards for multiple pharmaceutical companies. In addition, she has been a principal investigator on over 200 studies and is currently involved in 20 studies in such areas as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, vaccinations and osteoporosis.
She has been a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Midwestern College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2014 and is active in student, intern and resident training. In addition, she is a member of several professional societies including the Maricopa County Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and Chairman of the Arizona United Rheumatology Alliance, Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. In addition, she is a current member, regional director and past board member of the American Arthritis and Rheumatology Associates.
Dr. Schechtman has been voted a Top Doc in Rheumatology 2011 through 2022.
