Dr. Mbuyi is a rheumatologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She also serves as the Rheumatology Fellowship Program Director. Dr. Mbuyi completed her rheumatology fellowship at Brown University where she received training on the diagnosis and management of a broad range of rheumatic diseases. Dr. Mbuyi is certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound by the American College of Rheumatology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Her clinical interests include lupus and crystalline arthropathies. Her research focusses on determining treatment trends for patients with acute gout in the emergency department and the primary care setting.
