Dr Waheba Slamang is a paediatric rheumatologist in Cape Town, South Africa. She has worked extensively in primary health care and paediatrics in underserved areas of South Africa. Her areas of interest in rheumatology include JIA and JIA associated uveitis. She has also been involved in projects to improve healthcare access for children with rheumatic diseases, including juvenile arthritis management in less resourced countries (JAMLess) and more recently, as the Global Paediatric Musculoskeletal Task Force Research Fellow in the efforts to revise the WHO EML for JIA.
