Dr. Shadick is a Rheumatologist, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Translational Research Development at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is a co Principal Investigator of the BRASS Registry since its inception in 2003. She is an experienced clinical researcher in health outcomes, epidemiology and rheumatic disease. She has directed and funded numerous population and clinic-based studies and maintained several cohort studies, including the BRASS Registry. She has run large randomized controlled trials, one of 30,000 subjects travelling to Nantucket Island and has been a co-investigator for several other large data base/population/based studies including the Women’s Health Study at BWH, the Normative Aging Study at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Women’s Health Cohort Study in the Division of Preventive Medicine at the BWH. .She has published numerous studies on the topic of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lyme Disease. For the past 14 years Dr. Shadick has been nominated by her peers as one of “America’s Top Doctors”.
