Amanda Greene is actively involved in healthcare advocacy, She lives with Lupus and other autoimmune conditions. Amanda embraces social media and raises awareness for lupus and the patient experience online. She is an experienced advocate for the Lupus and Allied Diseases Association and has represented the organization on Capitol Hill and locally advocating on behalf of the lupus community. Amanda has been a recipient of the HealtheVoices Impact Fund twice which enabled her to create innovative Lupus awareness and patient engagement projects. Amanda writes blog posts for ChannelKindness.org and The Mighty creating content that empowers individuals.
In 2019, the Lupus Research Alliance honored Amanda as a Lupus Luminary. In 2018, Amanda shared her patient experience at HIMSS in a session about the impact of Health Technology on her healthcare. Additionally, she was recognized with the WEGO Health (now Social Health Network) Award for Healthcare Collaborator: Patient. She is passionate about exploring alternative treatment options to manage pain, storytelling and working together to improve the patient experience.
