Dr. Wright is the President and Founder of the Association of Women in Rheumatology (AWIR) and served as clinical associate professor of medicine and attending rheumatologist in New York City. Dr. Wright received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Barnard College, Columbia University. She completed her residency and fellowship training at NYU School of Medicine where she served as attending Rheumatologist for >20 years. She is the recipient of the 2019 Women in Motion Award from the Arthritis Foundation and remains a long-standing member of the American College of Rheumatology. She has lectured throughout the world and continues her passion for leadership development and health equity in Rheumatology
