My personal experience with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and the exciting research projects in the lab of Dr. Salah-uddin Ahmed, piqued my interest in autoimmune diseases and motivated me to join his lab as a graduate student. My research interest is characterizing proinflammatory cytokine signaling networks in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis synovial fibroblasts.
