Raisa is a current Rheumatology Fellowship applicant (2023/24) who just graduated from the Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Raisa graduated from a Brazilian medical school (Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública), during which time she spent a year at the University d'Auvergne, in France, through a scholarship program. Prior to joining residency, Raisa was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her main research interests are myositis, patient-reported outcomes, and health disparities. Raisa was a Plenary (II) presenter at the ACR Convergence 2022 and one of the Rheumatology Research Foundation Resident Awardees.
