MD graduate with PhD in immunology and experience in: drug development at Daiichi Sankyo (clinical) and Amgen (preclinical); discovery research in Industry and Academia; and clinical and laboratory patients’ care. Conducted preclinical research for the selection of clinical development drug candidates and the identification of biomarkers. Managed laboratory groups. Conducted and still conducting clinical research for the development of drug candidates in different therapeutic areas, mainly oncology, immunology, ophthalmology, and rare diseases, leading and monitoring early clinical development studies. Supervised groups of preclinical and clinical scientists.
