During my time in the academic world, I have always been enthusiastic about research, which is why I decided in 2015 to start my research career by studying Biology at the University of Malaga (UMA).
During these years and after the experience in the laboratory, I realized that I wanted to continue training, especially in the world of biotechnology, which is why I studied the Master's Degree in "Advanced Biotechnology" at the University of Malaga (UMA).
I joined the Group of Inflammatory and Autoimmune Diseases of the Biomedical Research Institute of Malaga (IBIMA) to work in the lines of research led by Dr. Antonio Fernandez Nebro and Dr. Natalia Mena Vázquez on Rheumatoid Arthritis, its associated comorbidities, studies of microbiota and the identification of associated factors. Following these lines of research, I have been able to actively participate in research projects that have generated 8 publications with a high impact index, some of which I have been able to lead. I have also collaborated with the group in works presented as communications to congresses.
I am currently enrolled in the PhD program in Biomedicine, Translational Research and New Health Technologies at the University of Malaga, where I am carrying out my thesis entitled "Integral analysis of clinical, metagenomic and transcriptomic data to identify biomarkers of response to antimicrobial treatment." -TNF in patients with rheumatoid arthritis".
