Rebecca Kuan is a third-year medical student who was part of the 2022-2023 cohort of the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program (MRSP). Rebecca completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley. For medical school, she attends Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. During her time with MRSP, she joined the Vasculitis Translational Research Program at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). She worked on developing strategies for deep immunophenotyping of patients with large vessel vasculitis utilizing spectral flow cytometry.
