As a visionary woman entrepreneur, I founded Polygon Health Analytics LLC with the mission to develop high-quality real-world data (RWD) and rigorous real-world evidence (RWE) in disease areas with pressing unmet medical needs. My goal is to bring new safe, effective and affordable medicines to patients in a swift, efficient and cost-effective fashion.
With two decades of experience in this field, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of RWD, including electronic health records, insurance claims, disease registry and other patient-generated health data, such as survey data and social media posts. By leading a team of data scientists and healthcare professionals and by collaborating with world-renowned scholars and clinicians, I have published over 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles including several high-impact publications in prestigious journals such as Nature Biotechnology, Genome Research and Drug Discovery Today. My H-index is 20. I am also the recipient of Career Development Award in Biomedical Informatics (K01) from the National Library of Medicine for 2016-2019, a Fellow of American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA), and the Chair of the AMIA KDDM working group from 2020-2022. Additionally, I serve as an adjunct associate professor in Department of Health Services Administration and Policy at Temple University.
