Dr. Samiha Karim grew up in Greenville, Mississippi. She studied Biology and Spanish at Emory University before pursuing medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She finished internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina where she is now serving as chief resident. She is interested in healthcare disparities, and her research focuses on decreasing barriers for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and precision health. She plans on pursing a fellowship in Rheumatology.
