I graduated from the University of Zagreb Medical School. I completed four years of postdoctoral training working as a bench trainee and researcher at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas. Focus of my research was non alcoholic fatty liver disease and signaling via P2 receptors. I finished my internal medicine residency training at Weiss Memorial Hospital/University of Illinois at Chicago. During my residency training I decided to pursue a career in Immunology. I completed dual Rheumatology and Allergy Immunology training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. I worked as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and VA in Iowa City for six years. Last year, our family relocated to Texas. Due to personal reasons I had to take some time away from work. My professional interests include seeing patients with immunodeficiency and autoimmune diseases as well as involvement in medical education.
