Julia Fridman Simard, ScD, is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology & Population Health, of Medicine in Immunology and Rheumatology, and, by courtesy, of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on reproductive rheumatology (with an emphasis on lupus pregnancy), and clinical and epidemiological research methods including misclassification, misdiagnosis, and adherence. Her lab is also working on disentangling social and biological constructs in the reported disparities from the etiologic and outcomes perspectives, and works in both quantitative and qualitative methods.
