Dr. Benjamin is a Med-Peds resident physician at Louisiana State University, Shreveport. She completed her undergraduate education at Florida International University in Miami, FL. Upon completion of her undergraduate Biology degree, Dr. Benjamin returned to her home island of Antigua to complete her medical education at American University of Antigua. She wishes to pursue a career in Rheumatology with special focus in Transition of Care, MSK US and Lupus. She regularly participates in community outreach and is an active member of AWIR. Her current research is reflective of these interests. Upon completion of her post-graduate education, Dr. Benjamin intends to continue practicing in underserved communities, like that in which she was raised.
