Dr. Joerg Ermann grew up in Germany and attended Medical School at the University of Leipzig. After a postdoctoral fellowship in Immunology at Stanford University and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Memphis, he moved to Boston for subspecialty training in Rheumatology. He completed a fellowship in Rheumatology and subsequently joined the faculty in the Division of Rheumatology, Immunology and Allergy (now Division of Rheumatology, Inflammation and Immunity) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Ermann has a clinical and research interest in spondyloarthritis. His laboratory investigates disease mechanisms relevant to spondyloarthritis using mouse models and translational research approaches.
