Dr. Shah is a rheumatologist with clinical and research expertise in systemic sclerosis, as well as the connection between cancer and autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Her research program has focused on the link between scleroderma and cancer, development of rheumatic immune related adverse events after treatment with cancer immunotherapy, cardiopulmonary complications of scleroderma including pulmonary arterial hypertension and right ventricular dysfunction, and Raynaud's phenomenon and ischemic digital ulcers. She serves as Director of the Johns Hopkins Division of Rheumatology and as Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Scleroderma Center.
