Cassandra Calabrese is an Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of CWRU and holds a dual appointment in the Departments of Rheumatologic and Immunologic Disease and Infectious Disease at the Cleveland Clinic, where she completed a 3-year combined rheumatology and infectious disease fellowship. She runs a rheumatology-ID clinic and oversees the rheumatology and infectious disease fellows' rheum-ID curriculum. Her areas of interest include infection in the setting of immunosuppression, infection prevention and immunizations, rheumatic manifestations of infection, human immunodeficiency virus, COVID-19 and immune related adverse events from checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
