Pascal de Jong obtained his PhD degree in 2013 on the thesis “Management of Early Rheumatoid Arthritis: Solving the Unresolved”. In this period he also participate in the Master of Science program Clinical Epidemiology by the NIHES (Netherlands Institute of Health Sciences), from which he graduated in 2011. Thereafter, he become a rheumatology trainee and in 2017 he got his qualification as Rheumatologist. Currently, Dr de Jong is working as a rheumatologist and epidemiologist at the department of rheumatology of the ErasmusMC. His research focuses on individualizing/optimizing the management of inflammatory (rheumatoid) arthritis by exploring different possibilities from a clinical, a patient’s as well as a societal point of view.
