The science and practice of rheumatology are advancing at an increasingly rapid pace. Artificial intelligence is already changing the world and will inevitably change how rheumatology is practiced. This and other technologies are also disrupting how medical education is delivered. In this session, we will explore how the adoption of artificial intelligence in the rheumatology clinic will require changing not just what future physicians need to learn, but also how they learn it. In addition, we will evaluate how technologies such as social media can be used as educational platforms and consider how these platforms may facilitate learning in the future.
