The session will discuss the use of complex biologic agents as necessary treatments for rheumatic diseases and many other disease states. Experts in the field will discuss the complexity of these treatments and describe how they exceed that of traditional pharmaceuticals. In addition, there will be discussion on the tremendous heterogeneity of patients with autoimmune disease and the diversity of conditions treated with biologics that require highly trained, specialized clinicians oversee their safe and effective administration.
