The foot and ankle are essential focal points for rheumatology patients and their health providers, as mobility is often affected due to pain and physical limitations. This session will provide the latest evidence and specific recommendations related to foot and ankle complications in common rheumatic disorders. Each speaker will provide succinct data on epidemiology, clinical presentation, and treatments specific to the foot and ankle within rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Each presentation will be based on the latest clinical evidence and provide evidence-based recommendations for assessment and treatment.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the manners in which rheumatic disorders can present in the foot and ankle.
  • Choose the most appropriate imaging technique for assessment of disease-specific involvement of the foot and ankle.
  • Select the most appropriate treatment options specific to rheumatic manifestations in the foot and ankle.
