A famous quote asserts: "No one is an island." While we know the importance of teamwork in our professional lives, building and sustaining high-functioning teams can be challenging. A culture steeped in trust is at the heart of all effective teams, and there are concrete steps leaders can take to cultivate that trust. We will look at the work of several well-respected authors and use interactive exercises to connect this work to attendees' own teams. Participants will leave with an outline to apply at their home institutions and to their professional teams.
