Suzanne Edison, MA, MFA, is the Mental Health Coordinator at the Cure JM Foundation. She directs support programs for parents and patients and helps organize mental health training workshops for Pediatric Rheumatologists and other providers. She is also a poet and writes often about the intersection of illness, healing, medicine and art. Her first full length book, Since the House Is Burning, was published in 2022. Her chapbook, The Body Lives Its Undoing, was published by Benaroya Research Institute in 2018. She is a member of the CARRA Mental Health Task Force and work group and co-leads the Narrative Medicine sub-group. She teaches expressive writing workshops to medical providers, caregivers and patients. Her recent teaching is through The Wellness Center for Youth with Chronic Conditions at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
