Georgios Filippou is a Rheumatologist, working as Senior Staff Physician at the department of Rheumatology, I.R.C.C.S. Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio, Milan – Italy. He achieved his Master Studies and the PhD degree at the University of Siena – Italy with the thesis “Innovative applications of musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Rheumatology”. He is member of the EULAR faculty of US courses since 2013, Convenor of the study group in CPPD of the OMERACT Ultrasound Working Group since October 2014, member of the EULAR/ACR taskforce for the development of the classification criteria for CPPD, Convenor of the EULAR taskforce for the development of recommendations for the use of imaging in Microcrystalline Arthritis and co-founder of the International Society for Ultrasound in Rheumatology.
