Dr. Kamini Shah is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Zucker School of Medicine Hofstra/ Northwell Health. Dr. Shah completed a clinical and research Rheumatology fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital following her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai - St. Luke’s/Roosevelt hospitals. She completed her medical degree at St.George’s University and received a BS from Cornell University.
Upon completion of fellowship, Dr.Shah joined a private practice group in NY. After six years, she joined the faculty at Northwell Health . Dr. Shah is an active member and mentor for USSONAR (Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists), serving as the mid -year Fundamentals course faculty this year. She received her RhMSUS certification through the ACR as well as serving as moderator for the Anatomy for the Clinician in the evaluation and sonoanatomy of the shoulder. Dr. Shah teaches diagnostic imaging and procedure techniques to residents and fellows at Northwell while lecturing locally and regionally on topics related to the use of ultrasound in Rheumatology.
Dr. Shah is actively involved in the community as a board member of the India wing of Parker Jewish Nursing Home, India Home - an organization focused on building a community of seniors in Queens, NY as well as a founding member of the Rotary Club of North Shore, NY.
