Belina Yi, DO is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a pediatric rheumatologist whose clinical research focuses on skin manifestations of systemic rheumatic diseases, especially on Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) and Calcinosis associated JDM. She co-leads Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) JDM calcinosis workgroup, and is an active member of International Myositis Assessment and Clinical Studies Group (IMACS).
Dr. Yi received her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree at Touro University California. She completed pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, and she then went on to complete her fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
With a focus on providing individualized and evidence-based medical care, Dr. Yi is passionate about advocating for patients and families, collaborating among medical specialists and conducting clinical research that can help improve patients’ lives.
