Rachel Dayno recently joined the University of Pennsylvania Division of Rheumatology as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine. Rachel graduated with a B.A. in biology and Hispanic studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She spent two years working as a research associate at Design Science Consulting, Inc. and, in her free time, served the Latin American immigrant community of Philadelphia by volunteering at the Puentes de Salud Clinic. She received her medical degree from Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine in 2017. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was also chosen to be Chief Resident from 2020-2021. She completed her Rheumatology fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in June 2023, during which time she also completed the USSONAR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound training program. Rachel’s clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, patient reported outcomes and social determinants of health.
