Kelly Y. Chun, PhD is vice president of R&D at LabCorp. Dr. Chun is responsible for all aspects of assay innovation and development at Esoterix specialty lab at LabCorp. She supports numerous multi-disciplinary teams across the LabCorp enterprise in science, medicine and strategy. Her leadership roles at LabCorp include; assay development and technology transfer to launch for pharma trials and diagnostics in endocrinology, autoimmunity, gastroenterology, neurology, infectious disease serology and therapeutic drug monitoring. She keeps abreast of emerging novel tests, disruptive technologies, disease and treatment trends; contributing this knowledge to LabCorp’s decision-making processes. She provides scientific asset review for merger and acquisition activities. Dr. Chun earned her B.S. in Molecular Biology with a minor in Business Administration from University of Washington and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in Laboratory Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
