Dr. Anthony M. Reginato is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, Interim Director, Division of Rheumatology, Director of Rheumatology Research and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He is the Chair of the Division of Rheumatology at the Providence Veteran Administration Medical Center (VAMC). He is co-director of the Brown-Rheumatology Combined Clinic. Dr. Reginato’s major expertise is in cell and molecular biology of cartilage and bone development, genetics of osteoarthritis, pathogenesis of crystal induced arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and a national and international leader in the application of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the evaluation rheumatic disease, education and training of musculoskeletal sonographers. Dr. Reginato, was one of the first to institute MSKUS lecture series and hand-on-sessions into the rheumatology fellowship training curriculum/program. He has been an invited speaker for both national and international ultrasound musculoskeletal courses. He has served in several of the AIUM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine) and ACR US Task Force subcommittees and the RhMSUS Certification Test Development Subcommittees. He is heavily involved in the Panamerican League of Associations for Rheumatology (PANLAR) Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Study Group and PANLAR-CER Ultrasound Certification Committee for Latin America.
