Huihua Ding obtained her M.D. degree from Peking Union Medical College, China and received medical training in HMS exchange clerkship program at Harvard Medical School. She was trained as a rheumatology fellow at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She pursued her research as a visiting fellow from 2014 to 2017 at University of Houston where she focused her study in screening and validation of biomarkers of SLE. She is now a physician-scientist at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Her clinical research interest focuses on the management of lupus nephritis and designing clinical research to improve current standard of care in lupus nephritis. Her translational research interest focuses on identifying novel biomarkers for lupus nephritis using omics techniques and biobanking.
