Dr. Shoichi FUKUI is a rheumatologist and assistant professor at Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan.
After graduating from Nagasaki University in 2010, he started his internal medicine residency at Tokyo Metropolitan Komagome Hospital and continued for four years. He obtained his Ph.D. at Nagasaki University in 2017. He was dedicated to basic sciences on arthritis at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School as a research fellow for three years and a half from 2018, funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and the Uehara Memorial Foundation. Since returning to Japan, He has continued his research on rheumatoid arthritis, funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and has worked as a rheumatologist.
