Lindsay Bass is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University whose mentor is appointed in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology. Her research focuses on understanding how B cells develop specificity for autoantigens and acquire the effector programming necessary to drive autoimmunity. Specifically, she focuses on autoreactive B cells in anti-histidyl tRNA synthetase syndrome, a form of the idiopathic inflammatory myopathies.
