Dr. Barnado is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology & Immunology and Departments of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics and Research Director of the Lupus Clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Dr. Barnado received her medical degree from Emory University before completing her internal medicine residency at Duke University and clinical rheumatology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. After fellowship, Dr. Barnado joined the faculty at Vanderbilt, where she completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation. Her research focuses on how to repurpose the electronic health record to study and impact outcomes in autoimmune diseases with a focus on lupus and lupus pregnancies.
